Cellgevity offers Superior Glutathione Support On-Demand
A new dietary supplement aimed at enhancing natural glutathione levels in
the human body has recently been introduced by Max International. This new
supplement is called Cellgevity, and it works to remove damaging toxins
from the body, increase base energy levels and promote healthy joints.
The Significance of Glutathione
Although glutathione is not considered an essential nutrient, it is a
naturally produced enzyme that plays a significant role in human health.
Glutathione is considered the most effective natural antioxidant, and
increased levels of the enzyme can greatly reduce aging and the
progression of age-related disease.
Glutathione has been extensively studied by medical science, with more
than 98,000 studies recorded in the official U.S. medical library. Among
the findings of these studies are that people with high levels of
glutathione have increased energy, healthy sleep patterns and improved
immune systems. In addition, these same people benefit from improved
mental clarity, and they are found to live longer lives of greater quality
than those with low levels of glutathione.
How Glutathione Improves Health
Glutathione is more necessary than ever due to the environment in which
most people live. Scientists have counted over 80,000 foreign chemicals in
the foods people ingest and the air that is breathed. Without glutathione,
all of these toxins can enter the body's cells and play havoc with their
health.
Some of the most dangerous of the toxins that can enter the body are heavy
metals. Fortunately, glutathione can remove heavy metals from the body's
cells through a process called chelation.
Toxins also break down mitochondrial DNA within the cells. This causes
rapid aging and premature cellular death. Glutathione creates a protective
barrier that increases the strength of mitochondrial DNA. Through the same
action, glutathione also protects another vulnerable part of the body's
cells: the nucleus.
Another intracellular benefit of glutathione is the elimination of free
radicals. As the most powerful natural antioxidant, glutathione plays a
major role in reducing free radical damage.
Dropping Glutathione Levels
The need for a glutathione-boosting product such as Cellgevity arose
decades ago, but no product has been as effective. The need for a product
that can increase glutathione was recognized after a study found that the
toxins to which most people are exposed do not only produce cellular
damage, but also, they decrease the amount of glutathione produced by the
body.
After years of research, Dr. Herbert T. Nagasawa reached a breakthrough
with the creation of his nutritional compound RiboCeine.
A Powerful Combination of Ingredients
The major ingredient of Cellgevity is the new nutritional compound known
as Riboceine. This nutrient enables the body to produce an optimal amount
of glutathione. Its action is far beyond any nutritional compound that has
come before it. However, Riboceine is not the only active ingredient of
Cellgevity. Cellgevity also contains several other ingredients to promote
health and fight the effects of aging.
The full ingredient list of Cellgevity is as follows: alpha lipoic acid,
broccoli seed extract, turmeric root extract, resveratrol, grape seed
extract, quercetin, milk thistle, vitamin C, selenomethionine, Cordyceps,
black pepper and aloe extract.
Ingredients
Alpha Lipoic Acid is a powerful endogenous antioxidant known to
combat various forms of oxidative stress and to recycle other antioxidants.
Together with glutathione, they protect the fat and water portions of the
cells from different types of free radicals."ypes of free radicals.
Broccoli Seed Extract (sulforaphane glucosinolate) acts as a
catalyst to boost antioxidant activity for as much as three days. Protects
against DNA damaging electrophiles and helps cells neutralize toxins and
carcinogens so they are eliminated from cells. It also helps to raise and
replenish glutathione levels and induces the antioxidant enzymes used in
the Phase II detoxification pathway.
Turmeric Root Extract (Curcumin) is a potent antioxidant that
fights free radicals and is known to reduce inflammation. Curcumin also
induces Phase II enzymes that support the glutathione detoxification
pathway.
Resveratrol is an antioxidant found in high concentrations in grape
skin, also found in wines, with higher concentrations in red wine verse
white wine. Resveratrol is thought to account in a large part for the so
called 'French Paradox'. The French Paradox - the findings that the rate
of coronary heart disease in France was observed to be lower than in other
countries with a similar risk factor - has been attributed to the
consumption of red wine. Resveratrol is an antioxidant known to have
cardio-protective properties.
Grape Seed proanthocyanidines have antioxidant activity, as well as
anti-inflammatory properties.
Quercetin is a supporting flavonoid antioxidant that scavenges free
radicals that can damage cells.
Milk Thistle (silymarin) is a powerful antioxidant used to support
a healthy liver by removing harmful toxins and heavy metals that are
stored in the liver.
Vitamin C is an exogenous antioxidant that is considered a network
antioxidant and known to support the immune system.
Selenomethionine (Selenium) is the essential catalytic component of
the enzyme glutathione peroxidase (GPx) and is absolutely required for its
function. Selenium is needed as selenomethionine for the antioxidant
enzyme, glutathione peroxidase. The glutathione peroxidase enzyme is
responsible for the detoxification of lipid peroxides, and glutathione is
absolutely required to regenerate this enzyme.
Cordyceps has been used as a Chinese medicine for centuries and has
been valued for its activity in restoring energy, increasing stamina,
promoting longevity and improving quality of life.
Black Pepper (BioPerine) assists in the absorption of
selenomethionine, vitamin C and curcumin (turmeric root).
Aloe Extract has the most bio-active content of acemannan, the
active ingredient in aloe. Aloe is known to support the immune system and
has antioxidant functions.
More information about Glutathione
Glutathione peroxidase (GSH) is your body’s most
abundant natural antioxidant. GSH protects your vision, boosts your immune
system, helps turn carbohydrates into energy, and prevents the buildup of
oxidized fats that may contribute to atherosclerosis.
Glutathione is a compound classified as a tripeptide made of three amino
acids: cysteine, glutamic acid, and glycine. Glutathione is also found in
every part of the body, especially the lungs, intestinal tract, and liver.
The body produces and stores the largest amounts of GSH in the liver,
where it is used to detoxify harmful compounds so that they can be removed
from the body through the bile. The liver also supplies GSH directly to
red and white blood cells in the bloodstream; it helps keep red blood and
white blood cells healthy to maximize the disease-fighting power of the
immune system. Glutathione also appears to have an anti-aging affect on
the body. GSH levels decline with age, and a lack of glutathione has been
shown to leave the body more vulnerable to damage by free radicals, thus
speeding up oxidation (wearing down) of the body.
A glutathione deficiency can have a devastating effect on the nervous
system, causing such symptoms as lack of balance and coordination, mental
disorders, and tremors. Any illness (even a bad cold), chronic disorders
such as asthma and rheumatoid arthritis, injury, or heavy exposure to
pollutants can cause a GSH deficiency. This is because your body uses more
GSH when it is supporting white blood cells and ridding the body of toxins.
Glutathione is found in almost all fruits and vegetables. Acorn squash,
asparagus, avocado, cantaloupe, grapefruit, okra, orange, peach, potato,
spinach, strawberries, tomato, watermelon, and zucchini are all good
sources of GSH. Some vegetables, such as broccoli, cabbage, Brussels
sprouts, cauliflower, kale, and parsley, not only provide GSH, but also
actually stimulate the body produce more of this powerful antioxidant.
Cooking destroys a lot of the glutathione in fresh fruits and vegetables,
so you can get the most GSH from these foods by eating them raw or steamed.
Eating foods high in glutamine, such as lean meats, eggs, wheat germ, and
whole grains, can also stimulate the liver to produce more GSH.
There is no Recommended Dietary Allowance (RDA) for GSH, but supplements
have no known harmful side effects. Glutathione supplements can be
expensive, but there is some question about the body’s ability to absorb
GSH efficiently in supplemental form. If you want to take GSH supplements,
just make sure to take them with meals to maximize absorption.
Another, and some say better, way to raise glutathione levels is to take
cysteine, glutamic acid, and glycine, the raw materials it uses to make
this compound. The N-acetyl form of cysteine (NAC) is easily absorbed by
the body, and glutamine supplements are available in a powder that is cost
effective, tasteless, odorless, and dissolves easily in water. The usual
dose for extra glutamine is anywhere from 1,000 to 5,000 milligrams.
Fish oil, riboflavin (vitamin B2), vitamin C, and selenium also encourage
the production and absorption of GSH. In fact, without selenium, a trace
mineral that also helps vitamin E work more effectively, the body cannot
produce glutathione. Make sure you are getting plenty of these nutrients
to help keep your body healthy and strong at any age.

Glutathione
Is Your Body's Master Antioxidant
It is considered the master antioxidant due to its unique multifunctional
characteristics as well as it's unprecedented ability to neutralize many
types of free radicals that assault the cell. It is the only antioxidant
that recycles itself again and again to continue fighting free radicals.
Is The Primary Detoxifier of the Cell
Today we are confronted by over 80,000 chemicals in the air we breathe,
the food and water we ingest, and the materials we touch and handle. Many
of these toxic chemicals enter our cells and must be eliminated to protect
the cell and maintain optimum function. Glutathione is the cell's first
line of defense against chemicals and toxins and the primary detoxifier
that can eliminate many of these toxins when it is present in optimal
amounts.
Is A Powerful Chelator of Heavy Metals
Heavy metals enter our cells in the same manner as chemical toxins.
Fortunately, they can be removed from the cell by a process of chelation,
and Glutathione is one of the cell's most powerful chelating agents.
Is The Protector of the Immune Cell
Our immune cells are designed to protect us, but what protects the immune
cell? Glutathione is the protector of the immune cell and allows newly
formed immune cells to proliferate to attack germs and viruses.
Is The Protector of Mitochondrial DNA
The breakdown of the mitochondrial DNA accelerates aging and increases
cell death. Glutathione is the protector of the Mitochondrial DNA, and the
lower the glutathione level, the more vulnerable this DNA becomes to
breakage.
Is The Protector of the Nucleus of the Cell
The nucleus of the cell regulates all cell activity and protecting it is
critical to the health of the cell and its optimal function. When present
in abundance, glutathione gives the nucleus the protection it needs.
Reduces Oxidative Stress
Oxidative Stress is the most aggressive destructive force that assaults
the cell. Cells manufacture a number of antioxidants to counter oxidative
stress. Glutathione plays a primary role in neutralizing many different
types of free radicals.
Reduces Intercellular Inflammation
Inflammation is the mortal enemy to the tissues, organs and various
systems of the body. All inflammation begins at a cellular level, and low
glutathione levels are associated with inflammation.
Is The Re-Utlizing Agent of Ingested Antioxidants
Antioxidants that are ingested (not manufactured by the body such as
vitamin C and E) once spent, cannot be re-utilized by the cell unless they
are first converted into a usable state. Glutathione is the agent that
converts those antioxidants into a state that can be utilized by the cell.
Reducing Agent for Hemoglobin, Allowing it to Transport Oxygen to Every
Cell.
The purpose of hemoglobin is to carry oxygen to all living cells. However,
when it is oxidized, it cannot carry an oxygen molecule and must first be
reduced to an acceptable state. Glutathione protects hemoglobin from
oxidizing agents and can also make this possible.
PROBLEM-Your Glutathione Levels are Decreasing, But
the Attacks on Your Cells are Not!
The continued exposure to toxins, free radicals, radiation, and heavy
metals can lower our levels of glutathione. This continued exposure causes
cells to lose their optimum function. As the cells are damaged, the aging
process and all of its issues accelerate. Energy levels fall, inflammation
levels increase and all of the cells, tissues and organs pay the price. On
top of this, injuries, infections and diseases further deplete glutathione
levels.
